My new suppliers have sent over lots of products to upload. How will I get them all uploaded?
Although it can be overwhelming when first confronted with a mass of products to upload, this is in fact a great problem to have. Each product will be an asset for you, working 24 hours a days, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to make money for you. But first you need to get them uploaded onto your Shopify store so that the magic can happen. Here are some tips to help get your new batch of products uploaded.
If you have been sent the product information in a specialised csv file, then you can upload to Shopify backend which will upload hundreds of products in minutes.
If not, then you can start by asking the supplier which are the most popular products out of the list so you know which to prioritise and upload first.
If you have been sent a spreadsheet then download and you can break down first 5 products into word document to make it more clear what you are focusing on initially.
Then start by doing the priority products yourself in the way that Lewis suggests. If you a large amount of products, it may be worth considering outsourcing this work to a skilled freelancer on Upwork.
While uploading your first 5 or so products, you should record yourself completing this process using a screen recording tool such as Loom. You will then be producing your instructions for an Upwork freelancer to complete the rest of your product uploading.
Search Upwork for the current going rate for Shopify product uploading then post your job on Upwork so that the freelancers will come to you and offer their services!
