I am doubting my niche. Should I pivot?
If you are questioning whether you made the right decision when you chose your niche, you won't be the first member and you won't be the last! It is easy to look to other niches after you have made your decision and to consider whether the grass is greener on the other side. However, a decision to pivot your business into your niche is best made when backed up by data and research.
When you worked your way through week 2 of the program, you will have put your niche through the niche validation criteria and it must have ticked the majority of boxes in order for it to become your niche of choice. Therefore, as long as you took your time to properly validate your niche using the program's teachings, you can be confident that you have given yourself the best chance of success.
Be weary that 'shiny object syndrome' can be very real and make sure that you are not looking at other niches more favourably just based on emotion.
Consider why you are doubting your niche. Also consider whether you have given your niche enough time to make an informed decision. Do you have plenty of direct competitors in your niche who are operating profitable businesses? If so, then you can also achieve this same level of success. Perhaps do an evaluation of why you think a customer would choose a competitor over you and then work consistently to close the gap between you and your competitors.
You should make a decision to pivot based on your research and data and also be sure that you are not writing off your initial niche too quickly.
If you have taken all this into consideration and you have decided that you would like to pivot into another niche, you can use all the experience and knowledge that you have gained through your first niche to give you a head start when starting in a new niche.
