How to approach suppliers who are not familiar with our business model?

To make your phone calls with new suppliers simple, it is recommended that you only contact suppliers who are already working with your direct competitors initially.

By filtering out the suppliers who are not already working with your direct competitors, it will be much easier to explain how you want to work with a supplier. They will already be working in this way and they will have their processes already set up which you can slot straight into.

Once you are partnered with several other brands and you have sales history, you can then approach new suppliers who may be less familiar with our business model. At that stage you will be more confident to outline the benefits of a partnership and they will be able to see the success that you are already having!
