I am finding lots of price inconsistency across the products that I have uploaded. How should I price?

If you are noticing significant price inconsistency in the niche you have chosen, this can make it difficult to know where to price your products in order to be competitive with your direct competitors while maintaining a healthy margin.

The first thing to do is to make your supplier aware of the price inconsistency across the market. It is in the interest of your suppliers to ensure a level playing field so that there is not a 'race to the bottom' where retailers are undercutting each other to take a lower and lower profit until there is nothing left.

If the suppliers for these inconsistently priced products are not willing to either A) improve your margin or B) control the pricing of other retailers, these are not products I would advise advertising. In this case, you should follow instructions to remove these products from your marketing campaigns.

To move forward, you should prioritise signing more suppliers so that you are not reliant on suppliers with lots of price consistency.

We recommend a minimum of 4 / 5 suppliers signed before running ads and you'll need to be confident with your margin for these products.

If you can sign 4 / 5 suppliers within this niche then great, you can proceed to launch your ads.

If not, this is a great time to pivot whilst you're at an early stage and not investing in products where you don't have a significant margin. I'd think about niching up within your niche to a wider range of products. This will open you up to a new list of suppliers to work with so that you can get 4 / 5 signed before going live!
