Which freight forwarder should I use?

When calling your suppliers, we recommend that you have the names of a few freight forwarders in mind. This means that if a supplier asks to deliver to a warehouse, you can quickly explain how you can facilitate this.

Simply mention that you have access to a shared warehouse and this should be enough to overcome any objections to delivering direct to customers.

But what is a freight forwarder and what is an example of a freight forwarder?

Firstly, a freight forwarder, or forwarding agent, is a person or a company who, for a fee, organises shipments for the shipper (us) by liaising with carriers (courier services). This means that we can work with a freight forwarder to receive a product from our suppliers and then forward it on to our customer's home address.

To find examples of freight forwarders that you can name on the phone to a supplier, use Google to search for freight forwarders in the country you are operating in.
